McKenzie Carmack - Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreational

McKenzie Carmack

Program Coordinator

McKenzie Carmack has been with PPORA since September 2021. She moved to Colorado in 2020 after a global evacuation from Peace Corps, where she served in the country of Kosovo teaching English as a Foreign Language and educating the community on environmental stewardship.

Originally from Texas, McKenzie grew up on the states rivers and lakes, and explored much of the states flat lands through hunting, hiking, and lake vacationing. She has spent much of her time outdoors in other countries around the world discovering various cultures and outdoor activities such as canyoning and paragliding. Bitten by the travel bug, she is always looking for the next grand adventure!

She graduated with her Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas Tech University. In her free time she enjoys discovering alpine lakes to camp and fly fish at, archery, geocaching, crafting and exploring Colorado throughout its many seasons with her partner and pup!
