Conner Borkowski - Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreational

Conner Borkowski

Program & Special Projects Coordinator

Conner Borkowski joined PPORA as the Program and Special Projects Coordinator in October 2024. The combination of the outdoors, community, and cross sector collaboration that occurs in PPORA’s work connected with Conner’s personal mission immediately and he is excited every day to be working on creating a connected, passionate community into the future.

Before joining PPORA’s team, Conner completed a Masters of the Environment program at the University of Colorado Boulder where he focused on Sustainability in the Outdoor Industry. This opportunity allowed him to pursue projects including regional outdoor recreation and economic development planning and assistance, small business social and environmental impact reporting, municipal park policy and planning, and strategic marketing for regional outdoor nonprofits. Each of these projects worked with incredible partners and reinforced his love for the outdoor recreation ecosystem and community. He is incredibly passionate about servant-leadership and helping communities make progress towards their goals and aspirations.

Conner also is a Community Engagement Data Management Fellow with Community Builders where he is helping evaluate, design, and implement qualitative data systems used in community planning.

Conner grew up in a military family that allowed him to camp, hike, ski, hunt, and fish across the country and the world. Later in life, Conner expanded his hobbies into climbing, whitewater, mountaineering, and photography, and he wants to learn how to mountain bike, hang glide, and kite surf. Conner also has a Single Pitch Instructor certification from the American Mountain Guides Association that he enjoys using to help others get into climbing. He started his career as an outdoor educator and to this day loves to teach and share his passion for exploring and adventuring with anyone who is interested.
