Becky Leinweber - Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreational

Becky Leinweber

Executive Director

Becky Leinweber has served as PPORA’s executive director since 2017. PPORA’s mission is to strengthen the outdoor recreation industry for the Pikes Peak region through leadership and collaboration resonates strongly with Becky, who finds the best part of the job is bringing passionate people together with different perspectives and experiences to work to create a better future for ourselves, our communities, and future generations through the outdoors.

Becky was recognized as a Woman of Worth from Visit Colorado Springs and was selected as the 2018 recipient of the 2018 Spirit of Tourism Award. PPORA was awarded the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Partner of the Year Award for the Southeast Region in 2020.

Becky also co-owns Angler’s Covey in Colorado Springs with her husband, David, where she instructs women’s fly fishing classes and camps and founded and co-leads Pikes Peak Women Anglers, a local fly fishing club. She is a member of Pikes Peak Trout Unlimited, is an instructor and guide for Casting for Recovery retreats for local survivors of breast cancer, and also guides for and supports Project Healing Waters, providing wounded military personnel with fly fishing experiences to aid in their healing.

As a Colorado native growing up with a dad in the National Park Service, Becky has been an outdoor enthusiast her entire life. Her pursuits include hiking, camping, backpacking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, and fly fishing. But her greatest passion is helping others enjoy these experiences and find the same sense of awe and respect for the natural world that she has.
