Meetings are attended by a cross-section of businesses\, nonprofits\, and land managers as we work toward our goals centered on our five pillars: GROW\, INSPIRE\, STRENGTHEN\, STEWARD\, and ADVOCATE. Agendas are sent out a few days in advance so contact becky@ppora.org to submit a request for a discussion item. These meetings are generally open to the public\, but we appreciate a heads-up that you’ll be joining us!

DESCRIPTION:State of the Outdoors 2020 Postponed Due to Pandemic\n| Rescheduled to October 28\, 2021\n\nDate: October 29\, 2020 (Now moved to October 28\, 2021)\nTime: 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM\nLocation: Colorado Springs City Auditorium\n\nYou’re invited to the Fourth Annual State of the Outdoors presented by the Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance (PPORA) and the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC. \nThe first hour will highlight the Pikes Peak region’s outdoor businesses\, nonprofits\, and land management entities with an Outdoor Community Expo. Network with the outdoor community and learn how your company can benefit from their offerings; perhaps you’re looking for an outdoor experiential activity\, an alternative to golf with clients\, corporate volunteer opportunities\, or an alternative to your annual company picnic. \nWhy should you attend? \nBusiness and Community Leaders:\nAs a stakeholder in our community\, you care about our region – as a place to do business\, raise a family\, and provide opportunities for better health and quality of life for our citizens. Because you live here\, you already have a certain amount of appreciation for our natural assets\, such as Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. What you know intuitively – that outdoor recreation matters to our community – we want to help you understand more fully and provide opportunities to engage with our local outdoor industry. \nOutdoor Community:\nThis is your opportunity to gain awareness for what you do to benefit our community and to engage with other business and community leaders.
